The Turtle Behind the Cafe
Jonathan the Turtle is the handcrafted mascot of Tortuga's Acçaí Bowls & Breakfast in Kintnersville, PA. He lives inside our cafe, greets every guest who walks through the door, and has quickly become one of the most photographed turtles in Upper Bucks County.
Named in the spirit of Tortuga's tropical roots, Jonathan is more than a mascot. He's the heart of the room. Kids run to say hi. Parents pull out their phones. Regulars swear he winks. Whatever brought you in, saying hi to Jonathan is part of the Tortuga's experience.

Is Jonathan a real turtle?
Jonathan is a handcrafted mascot who lives inside our cafe full time. He's here to greet, be photographed, and delight the kids. No feeding required.
Can we take pictures with Jonathan?
Absolutely, and we encourage it. Bring the kids, snap a photo, and if you tag @tortugas.acai on Instagram we love resharing them.
When can we visit Jonathan?
Any time we're open. We're open daily 6 AM to 6 PM, with a 7 AM start on Saturday and Sunday, and closed Tuesdays. Jonathan is here every day the doors are open.
Is Tortuga's a good spot for kids?
Yes. Between Jonathan, the tropical decor, the fun açaí bowl toppings, and the fresh smoothies, we're one of the most kid-friendly cafes in Bucks County.
